Q: First and foremost, what is THR?A: THR, which stands for ThroneIt, is a community on USeast and USwest that is striving to provide quality
games for all skill levels. We have GHost++ hostbots for games, and a tracking system for all stats. We also provide several tiers for competitive playing.
Q: What does THR provide that public games don't provide?A: THR provides a number of things.
* First of all, as many of you know in a public game, when a person leaves or disconnects, there is very little to nothing anyone can do about it. The most that could be done is reporting their name to a banlist, which isn't very effective. Here at THR you may file a ban request along with the replay to get one of our ban moderators to ban the person from ALL future THR games. This works because all the hostbots are synced, when one person is banned, they are automatically kicked from ANY THR game.
* THR also provides a great tracking system, this records your stats, and you may visit the ThroneIt website to check your stats.
* Finally, THR is unique in that you can actually play with people on the other realm. Games are more likely to fill up swiftly, since you are able to play with USEast and USWest in the same game.
Currently, there are three levels of play: Tier 1 and Tier 2 and Tier 3. Public games have no requirements to play. T2 and T3 require you to be safelisted, which can be found HERE.

That is the complete list of ranks for a user. Most staff positions such as State Justice and Forum Helper both start at level 10, although they obviously have permissions normal users do not.
Q: I heard about something called ELO?A: The ELO rating system gives a relative measure of skill (More info at Wikipedia). ELO starts at 1000 and changes when you win or lose. Your ELO for any tier is set to update every hour.

HEREQ: Why can't I join THR private/public games?A: First, check to make sure you aren't banned. For Tier 1 bans, Go Here. For Tier 2 and 3 bans, please check the Tier 2 or 3 accepted bans forum. If you feel that your ban is unjustified, you may file an appeal in the appropriate appeal forum for each tier which can all be found HERE.
Second, check that you have the latest DotA version from
http://www.GetDotA.comLastly, if you cannot join a THR private game, or get redirected to a different game mode, please see THIS thread as it is probably caused by your router. The summary from the thread is that D-Link routers don't work well with 90% of THR private games, and replacing the router will fix the issue.

Q: Why can't I join the channel?A: The channel may be full or restricted due to spammers. Game names are still announced through the Website (Click "View Available Games" in the bottom right corner)
Q: Why aren't my stats being recorded correctly?A: Wins/Losses and stats are recorded when the tree/throne is destroyed with 2 or more people in the game. When everyone leaves (disconnected or voluntarily) before the tree/throne is destroyed or 1 person remains and kills the tree/throne, it's counted as a Draw.
If you leave during a game (disconnected or voluntarily), and the game finishes with a Win/Loss, you will also get a Win/Loss, stats recorded, and your ELO adjusted from that Win/Loss.
Sometimes legit Wins/Losses will be recorded as a Draw. This is because the game was not parsed properly, and THR could not pull the stats. Unfortunately these will not be changed, THR apologizes for any inconveniences caused by this.

Q: What modes does THR host in Tier 1?A: A list of the bots and the game types can be found in this post. We always try to balance the number of bots hosting each one based on the popularity which is found by our bot statistics.
Q:If I feel that I have been abused, what can I do?A: PM one of the Admins or POST a topic with your concern and the staff in question, as we here in THR do not tolerate abuse of any kind. We adopt a Zero Tolerance policy.
